We understand that things happen — sometimes a gathering comes together at the last minute.

Unfortunately, these exact situations have happened here before, and they have cost us dearly.

If you were planning to have a party or event, please contact the platform you booked Jonathan's House through as soon as possible and request to change your venue.

📞 Call Airbnb, Vrbo or Booking.com ASAP to get a refund. Follow the advice below.
In the past, guests who reached out early and were upfront — even just admitting they hadn't seen the house rules — were able to work things out, and some received refunds. There's no guarantee — but guests have told us it was not a problem when they explained to the platform that the party or event was a last-minute thing and that they respect Jonathan's House Rules. Showing up with a party leaves no options at all.

Do not touch or tamper with any smoke detectors or fire alarm devices. Never remove them from the wall or ceiling. If there is a problem, call 911 immediately. Any smoke detectors missing from the property are a non-negotiable $250 fine. $250 fine

🧺 Linens, Towels & Damages

Each guest is set up with one bath towel and one pool towel. Please leave them all behind at check-out — replacement towels are $25 each.

If sheets get ripped or torn during your stay, a $100 per-set replacement fee applies.

Damage to walls beyond normal wear and tear may incur a repair charge of up to $500.

Furniture ripped, torn, or broken during a stay is billed at replacement cost. Accidents happen — just let us know so we can sort it out together.

We document the home's condition with photos and video before each arrival — it protects your security deposit as much as it protects the home.

Things happen — we completely understand. If anything breaks or gets damaged during your stay, please don't stress about it.

Scuffed or scraped a wall? If you feel so inclined, there are small touch-up paint bottles and brushes on hand for a quick fix.
